After leaving a legacy behind in Mortal Kombat and after his work at Studio Gigante, John Tobias worked as a consultant in the games industry until 2012, when he joined social games studio Zynga. Earlier today, in response to someone who had asked him what he was up to, John dropped a tweet that said: "Keeping busy! He recently unearthed original concept art sketches from his personal archive, perfectly preserved to give fans a glimpse into MK's arcade origins!

There exists in New York City a World Video Games Hall of Fame and the arcade klassic Mortal Kombat has had the honor of being inducted into its hallowed halls!
